How do I delete a message?

From the left menu click "my email". This will take you to your inbox. To delete a message from the list, put a tick in the tickbox next to the message you wish to delete in the first column. If you wish to delete more than one message, select more. When you are done click "Delete Selected Messages" at the bottom of the page.

How do I write a message?

To begin writing a new message click on "my email" on the left menu to view your inbox. Now click "Compose" from the top menu. You can select contacts from your address book by clicking the small icon next to the "to", "cc" or "bcc" fields. When you are done writing your message, click "send".

How do I search for a message?

To search your inbox for a particular message click "my email" to go to your inbox. Then click "search" on the top menu. Enter a word or words to search for and click "search". Note that if you are searching the "from" or "subject" fields, all messages will be searched. However, if you are searching in the message body, only those mails that you have read using the website will be searched.

How do I check my sent/deleted items?

To view the messages in these folders click "my email" to view your inbox and then select "folders" from the top menu. You will then see a list of the available email folders. Click the name of the folder you would like to view. You can also "clean" (delete all messages from) a folder from here.

How do I check the contents of my "spam" (junkmail) folder?

As above, click "my email" then select "folders" from the top menu. Click "spam" to view mail that has been classes as junk and filtered by the 4uk Spam Filter.

How do I check how much quota I have remaining?

Click "my email" to go to your inbox. At the bottom of the page you will see a usage summary that tells you how much space you have used/remaining.

How do I change the number of messages displayed on a page?

Click "my email" and the "settings" to configure your webmail preferences. From here you can adjust the number of messages displayed on a page. Click "Apply" to save your settings.

How do I change the address my emails appear to have come from?

Sometimes if you have added your own domain to your account (e.g. yourcompany.com), you may wish your outgoing emails to show the address "yourname@yourcompany.com" instead of the default "prefix@4ukmail.com". To change this click "my email" then choose "settings" from the top menu. Whatever you enter in the "From" field will appear on all outbound emails. Click apply to save your changes.

How do I change the "sender name" on my ougoing emails?

Click "my email" and then choose "settings" from the top menu. Whatever you enter in the "Name" field will appear on all outbound emails. You can send yourself a mail as a test.

How do I add a signature to my outgoing emails?

You can do this from the settings screen by clicking "my email" and then "settings" from the top menu. Write your signature in the box provided at the bottom of the page and then tick "add signature to outgoing messages". Click "Apply" to save your changes.
