How do I change the password on a mailbox?

Click "my account" and then choose "mailboxes" from the top menu. Click on the mailbox for which you would like to change the password to see it's settings. Enter a password in the box provided and enter it again in the box beelow to ensure you did not mistype it. Click "Apply" to save your new password.

How do I adjust the strength of my "spam" (junkmail) filter?

Click "my account" and then choose "mailboxes" from the top menu. Click on the mailbox for which you would like to change settings. You can choose to turn the spam filter off completely by setting "Spam Protection" to "none". Choose a setting that suits you. We suggest you have it as low as you can WITHOUT receiving any junk mail. If necessary, set it to "extreme" and add your regular contacts to the whitelist (see below).

How do I add an email address to my whitelist?

Click "my account" and then choose "mailboxes" from the top menu. Click on the mailbox for which you would like to change settings. Click "edit whitelist". Any address you add here will NEVER be classed as spam, regardless of how high your spam filter is set.

How do I add an email address to my blacklist?

Click "my account" and then choose "mailboxes" from the top menu. Click on the mailbox for which you would like to change settings. Click "edit blacklist". Any address you add here will ALWAYS be classed as spam.

How do I change my spam delivery setting?

Click "my account" and then choose "mailboxes" from the top menu. Click on the mailbox for which you would like to change settings. Adjust the "Deliver Spam to" option. You can choose to have spam delivered to your special spam folder or for it to be delivered to your inbox with special headers. This allows you to filter it yourself using third-party spam filter software.

How do I enable/disable anti-virus scanning?

Click "my account" and then choose "mailboxes" from the top menu. Click on the mailbox for which you would like to change settings. By altering the "AntiVirus Scanning" field you can turn virus scanning of your email on or off.

How do I reroute virus reports to my spam folder?

Click "my account" and then choose "mailboxes" from the top menu. Click on the mailbox for which you would like to change settings. By altering the "Anti virus alert options" you can choose to be notified of viruses that are caught by our system, or to reroute these alerts to your spam folder. You may not want to know every time someone sends you a virus!

How do I forward emails to another internet email address?

Click "my account" and then choose "mailboxes" from the top menu. Click on the mailbox for which you would like to change settings. Enter a valid email address in the "forward all email to" box and click apply. Note: If you set "keep local copy" to delete, no mail will be stored on the 4uk server, it will just be forwarded and deleted.

How do I configure an email autoreply on a mailbox?

Click "my account" and then choose "mailboxes" from the top menu. Click on the mailbox for which you would like to change settings. Click "configure" at the bottom of the page. On the next page enter a message and the name/email address you would like the auto reply to appear to have come from. Click apply to save this setting. When you return to the mailbox settings page you must click "enable" at the bottom of the page to turn on the autoreply feature.

How do I remove a mailbox from my account?

Click "my account" and then choose "mailboxes" from the top menu. Click on the mailbox you would like to delete. At the top of the page you will see a "delete mailbox" option. UNLESS this mailbox is the primary mailbox on that account, in which case it can't be deleted. Please note that any mailboxes you delete in this way will lose all alias information and any emails that are currently on the server. That mailbox address then becomes available for any other user of the system.
